This Act has been implemented in the state since 2001. According to Article 18 (1) of this Act, the State Government has framed rules and a notification regarding the same has been issued on 14 November 2017.

It provides that if the validity certificate of the applicant’s consanguineous father or first cousin or any other relative of the paternal consanguinity (patriarchal system) issued by the verification committee is available, the competent authority should consider it as important evidence and issue a caste certificate.
